Abstract

Abstract Medical record is a file that contains notes and documents including the identity of the patient, the results of the examination, the treatment that has been given, and other actions and services that have been given to the patient. From the results of a preliminary study conducted by researchers at Rs Tk. III Dr.R Soeharsono Banjarmasin in organizing medical records experienced obstacles to returning inpatient medical records to hospitals. This study aims to determine the factors that delay the return of inpatient medical records to the medical record work unit at Rs TK.III Dr. R. Soeharsono Banjarmasin. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The population in this study were room nurses and medical record heads. From the results of this study found SPO returns inpatient medical records already exist but have not been implemented in accordance with the provisions of existing spo, the lack of human resources and high workload resulted in delays in filling in the completeness of medical record files which resulted in delays in returning inpatient medical records to the hospital, the absence of tools to support the return of medical records, making it difficult for officers to return inpatient medical records. Suggestions should be the addition of medical recording staff in the room to fill in the patient's medical record completeness and to support the return process, a trolly or bag should be provided to support the return of inpatient medical records to the hospital.
